The Krislin Company Homepage
The Earth Garden is a lush, tiny garden enclosed by an old stone wall and set somewhere far off in the middle of a rolling landscape. It’s obvious the garden is somewhere on Earth but we never ever see evidence of humans. The Garden is an ark, so to speak, containing every known plant, from flowers to fungi, succulents to cacti and everything inbetween. The climate in the Garden is whatever we need it to be. Whether warm or balmy, stormy or bright. We can even cover the Garden in a beautiful layer of newly fallen snow…depending on what the Kinderlings need to tell their tales.

All Kinderlings™ have a task in the Garden. Even playtime is an opportunity for learning about their responsibilities and how each task is very important to the well-being of the Earth Garden. Learning about cooperation and honesty during a game of puffball is as important as paying attention to the head caretaker when she explains the need for doing one’s task responsibly.

For everyone is responsible for tending to the Earth Garden and every task is important to the well-being of this tiny wonderful world inside the stone wall.

Children love to play. And how they play and interact with others is crucial to their development and growth into responsible adults and productive members of society. It is important that they learn good values early on in life and there is no better way to achieve this than through example. Good manners, respect, responsibility, caring, honesty. These are all positive things we want our children to learn from us.

The Reflection Looking-At Thing

All gardens need to be tended to if they are to grow healthy. In the Earth Garden this care is tended to by Kinderlings, the young floras that, even though they are still learning how to be good caretakers, play a very important role in the health and well being of the Earth Garden.

Ranging from three to four inches tall and with their large flower-like heads you can see how easy it is for them to hide amongst a bed of flowers. But if you watch carefully, you can spot them when they move. Kinderlings eventually grow to become Floras, the adults that guide the youngsters and set good examples for them.
